Panasonic HDC-TM90K Review

Panasonic HDC-TM90K

From Matsushita to National to National Panasonic and now just Panasonic, this Japanese company is one of the leaders in the consumer electronics industry.  With its base in Japan, its reach is worldwide and its products have garnered recognition and respect from the company’s peers and the millions of people who purchase them.  Aside from consumer electronics, it is also involved in the production of semiconductors and automotive parts and also owns Technics and Sanyo.

One of the markets that Panasonic is trying to make more headway is that of photography and videography.  Its cameras are slowly but surely carving their own niche in what is considered an already crowded market.  A perfect example of their growing popularity can be found in the Panasonic HDC-TM90K 3D Ready Digital Camcorder.  It has a 16GB capacity built-in Flash memory and is compatible with either 2D or 3D video capture.  If the 16GB internal memory is not sufficient enough, a memory card can be used.  Its 28mm lens allows for wide angle shooting and can zoom to 40x.

The Panasonic HDC-TM90K has received mostly positive reviews from customers that have purchased it and one of the main reasons given is its stability, making it possible to lessen the chances of getting a headache watching a picture shake now and again, thanks to what it calls its Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) Lock.  The zoom feature is optimized to make adjustments in a flash so your video does not stay blurry longer than necessary when changing focus.  Another reason for the positive reaction is the fact that it only weighs 8.6oz, allowing for easy handling.  While rather small in size, this camcorder packs a punch with the high quality of video that it is able to take, making customers crow about not having to lug around a professional video recorder to take important moments in their lives.  Its ability to record audio also matches its video capturing, so sounds are clear and not garbled or muffled.  It is also reasonably priced, making many choose it over more expensive brands with the same kinds of features.

The few negative reactions expressed disappointment over an aqua greenish hue that would appear in the videos they took, regardless of the conditions during the actual filming.  Another issue had to do with the battery getting a tad too hot after several minutes of use, making it difficult to shoot videos.  One customer was not happy with the touch screen controls that they considered too small to get to easily.

With a high number of positive reviews, the Panasonic HDC-TM90K appears to be a purchase worth making by anyone who is thinking of replacing their old camcorder or is buying one for the very first time.  It has a lot of features found in other camcorders that are priced much higher than this Panasonic one.  It is perfect for families that engage in a lot of activities and would like to capture every moment for them to look back on.
